Mr Duffy’s experience of working in several countries and as a consultant for the last 10 years allows him to bring his lived experience to manage all gynaecological conditions, early pregnancy and complicated and uncomplicated pregnancies.

Gynaecology
Mr Duffy runs a one stop gynaecology service and performs the gynaecology scans himself in clinic. Mr Duffy is a minimal access surgeon (key hole surgery) and also manages complex surgical cases that need traditional surgical approaches. Mr Duffy provides a national specialist service for patients with complex perineal trauma also.

Maternity
As Mr Duffy practices both Gynaecology and Obstetrics he is able manage complications at the start of a pregnancy up until delivery. His specialist areas are perineal trauma / female pelvic floor reconstruction surgery, complex surgery in pregnancy and complex caesarean sections. Mr Duffy believes that women and families should be at the heart of maternity care and promotes choice in pregnancy and childbirth to provide the safest and most satisfying experience for you and your baby.

Mr Duffy sees his private patients at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and at 35 Devonshire Place, W1. He looks after gynaegology patients at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and the Lister Hospital. Mr Duffy looks after mothers and babies privately at the Kensington wing at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and at the Portland hospital in London.

Mr Duffy’s International Charity Work
Shane is the Clinical Director of MedNav, a life-saving initiative called MedNav which aims to make childbirth safe for women and babies regardless of where they live. MedNav delivers training courses and provides innovations in Africa to help healthcare workers manage obstetric emergencies more effectively, and treats women in Uganda who suffer from obstetric fistula, a hole in the birth canal caused by obstructed childbirth which results in constant incontinence and social segregation.
